Social networking right from the Horsesmouth

I came across this website that has a slightly different spin on social networking and one that could have significant benefits for businesses, from budding entrepreneurs to large corporations. Horsesmouth.co.uk is "where social networking meets social enterprise; where personal contributions create public value and where human capital is unlocked to create social capital. It's social networking with a purpose for grown-ups."

In simple terms (not the marketing blurb from the site), it means that that rather than providing a platform for people to exchange pictures, music and gossip, horsesmouth encourages users to share more meaningful knowledge in a more purposeful way by supporting and mentoring each other. This could be on anything within careers, work, family, health or education. You can either choose to be a mentor or be mentored yourself - very interesting concept!
