Jobster's CEO, Jason Goldberg departs - some questions for the new CEO

about Photo - Image It is now common knowledge that Jason Goldberg is leaving his job as CEO of Jobster, the company he co-founded several years ago. They have recently initiated a search to find his successor, and I for one hope that the replacement has much more of an international vision than Jason does. While he says that Jobster is focused on being a global brand and has made sales trips to the UK, even signing up Alexander Mann Solutions as their UK partner, the Jobster site is still very American centric.

So maybe the new CEO will be able to address these questions if they are serious about moving outside of the USA.

  • When will you acknowledge the rest of the world exists and put UK and European locations into Jobster?
  • You are targetting corporate clients, so why not make it a little easier to use Jobster as an ATS?
  • Why don't you adopt the KISS (keep it simple stupid) approach and make the corporate process less clunky and more time efficient?
  • Can you actually define what Jobster is and what you are trying to be - a very grey area at the moment!
  • You now have a lot of competition and have lost the initiative within social networking circles, especially with the mammoth growth of Facebook, so what is Jobster now going to do to differentiate themselves?

Jobster (and Jason) had some great visions, but I feel they failed to deliver all the promise, lets hope the new CEO will be able to take the company to a new level.
