Workshop training speaking One of the areas that we like to share our knowledge is via our half-day or full-day workshops. They are designed for recruiters (in-house or third party) and are very hands-on and interactive.
The interest currently is all around the use of social media in recruitment, and that is the focus on our workshops at the moment.

The workshops are each tailored to your company’s needs (and recruitment knowledge level), but as a guide our content sits within all these areas:

  • the concept and impact of social media in recruiting on all companies, and why it is not something that can be ignored.
  • some examples of what a successful social recruiting strategy looks like, highlighting some current case studies
  • how social recruiting can integrate with your existing recruitment activity
  • the key social media tools for successful recruitment
  • how to put together an effective social recruiting strategy for your company

Some feedback from recent courses/training have been:

“Over the course of ½ a day, Andy did a phenomenal job at opening our eyes to the huge variety of different social media channels and some of the ways in which they can be harnessed in order to optimise our recruitment strategies. In truth the team have been up until 2008/2009 on their game when it came to recruiting via LinkedIn and the various job boards, but the reality is that the recruitment industry is evolving so fast that we needed a course like this to make us realize what new strategies we need to be utilising. It will take only one placement to justify the cost and I would expect the saving to be tenfold based on the new working practices that I am witnessing in my team since Andy was here.”

“While working at the REC I contacted Andy to conduct a training course for members of the Association of Executive Recruiters in 2009 and REC R2R members in 2010 on Social Media recruitment.
The concept is quite new to most recruiters and I found Andy was able to deliver quite a detailed level of knowledge in a way that was well received by members. He was able to tailor his message to each group and demonstrate how to achieve a good return on investment without consuming too much time.
Andy keeps his knowledge up to date and was able to put across the importance of using social media in recruiting, but more importantly how to do it properly beyond ‘I have a LinkedIn profile’. I would recommend Andy for anyone looking to learn more on this topic.”
